This stunning, ca: 1930, Theodor Fahrner/Gustav Braendle, Jr. pendant is classic Art Deco. The sterling pendant is awash in marcasites and features a rectangular black onyx and mother of pearl stone. The pendant is 2 7/16″ x 1 3/8″. Signed circle TF and sterling. Highly collectable and a piece of history.
I have added 8 strands of 2mm black spinel beads that sparkle like black diamonds. The necklace is adjustable from 17″ to 18.5″ in length. The strands can be worn straight or twisted as shown in the photos on the white mannequin. The strands are finished with sterling findings. Closes with a hook and eye.
I have included a photo of the pendant next to the same pendant in the reference book, “Theodor Fahrner Jewelry”. You will note there is a small crossbar missing on the pendant, but this does not detract from its beauty.
