This 800 silver Danske Kunst Smerte brooch has been repurposed into a pendant and paired with green onyx gemstones.
The repurposed brooch is Danish Arts & Crafts in style, from the early 20th century. The repoussé piece has a green onyx cabochon stone that is 18mm in diameter. It's in excellent condition, with the main piece measuring 1 15/16" in diameter. With the hanging flower bud, the piece measures 3 3/8" in length. It's hollow, with a flat back of 800 silver and the initials DKS and 800 stamped on the back.
I have added two rings at the top for the 4mm green onyx gemstone strands. The necklace is adjustable from 16" to 18" in length with a sterling lobster claw clasp and sterling chain. Both lengths are visible in the photos provided.
