This piece is an antique Theodor Fahrner brooch repurposed into a pendant and paired with 2.5mm green onyx gemstones.
The brooch is ca: 1906 and is an amazonite cabochon set in a delicate sawtooth bezel and placed in a lightly hammered 935 silver medallion. The design is pure art deco and attributed to Alfred Bernheim, who designed/worked for Fahrner from 1905 to 1908. The back is hallmarked with TF, 935 and Deposé, which was a mark used to signify that the design was created by someone other than Fahrner. The pendant measures 26mm or a wee bit over 1".
The gemstones are faceted 2.5mm green onyx, that have a great sparkle and delicacy, matching the pendant. 18" in length.
