Presented is an Abraham Tobias silver repoussé cuff, circa 1940's. There were a few artists who created this style of 'Aztec Rose' bracelet; Sanborns, Maciel and Tobias. I have sold a number of them in the shop, but this is my first Tobias. Not too much is known about this artist, Abraham Tobias. He was a contemporary of Matilde Poulat and probably worked out of Mexico City. He worked and designed in silver, and had amazing craftsmanship.
This piece is in excellent condition and very well-made.
